Ombudsman observed Bima Lokpal Day at Guwahati
GUWAHATI: Ombudsman office, Guwahati, observed Bima Lokpal Day on Monday at its office premises at Guwahati with a day-long programme. The day started with a press meet addressed by Ombudsman KB Saha. Throughout the day, leaflets were distributed. A seminar was held where different personalities of public sector and private sector organizations along with imminent personalities of the city were present. Need and importance of Insurance Ombudsman awareness among the insured population were discussed in the seminar by Dy Secretary Ombudsman J K Paul.
He also informed the house that Guwahati office of the Ombudsman is having the largest jurisdiction of geographical area covering the state of Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh Nagaland and Tripura. (SDM) Secretary Audit of LIC Ashim Bhuya spoke on the importance of Insurance Ombudsman for enhancement of customer satisfaction, a press release stated.
