Prada picks BigThinx, co-founded by Chandralika Hazarika, for Milan's Fashion tech program

NEW DELHI: The husband-wife duo of an entrepreneurial venture called BigThinx was selected by the supreme fashion house- Prada to participate in its maiden fashion tech accelerator program in Milan.

Shivang Desai and Assam born Chandralika Hazarika, co-founders of Bangalore based venture BigThinx have flown out to Milan for the next 6 months to take their journey to the fashion capital of the world.

"They picked top 20 fashion tech companies globally out of 1200 companies and invited us to pitch to their 150 partners for two days. The 150 partners voted at the end of day two to choose the top 10 companies. We were selected as one of them," said Hazarika, according to media reports.

Milan-based luxurious style logo Prada Team’s Startupbootcamp received more than 1100 packages for its fashion-tech program. In the program, Prada will immerse itself into the inspiring, creative process, sketching on new ideas and connections with these intellectual startups.

Playing her role as Co-Founder along with Shivang Desai, and as the Managing Director of Bigthinx, Chandralika wanted to make tech products that could be adopted by any and everyone worldwide and as desired by her, she well excelled in her aspirations.

That was the beginning and she made her first step and today her company Bigthinx is a noted name in the AI-based startup whose flagship products have been able to garner great applauds from users.

One of the highly appreciated apps developed by her company is the Lyflike app which lets users create their own customised clothing by controlling materials, size, lengths, style, fit, mixing and matching, and viewing them on personalised. What is more, users can see their walkabout avatars in immersive simulation and this indeed is a revolutionary app in the fashion industry. Her new product, Lyfsize, which is set to launch soon gets 3D body scans and precise body measurements from just two smartphone pictures. These measurements can be used for accurate size predictions, mass customization of clothing, made-to-measure fashion, health and fitness.
