Free meals distributed by Lions Club of Silchar

Silchar: Lions Club of Silchar Central distributed free meals among the poor as a part of their one of the initiative, ‘Feed the Hunger’.

They have selected the third Sunday of every month for distribution of free food. The mission to fight hunger has been launched in collaboration with South Corner, Silchar. Food among 330 persons was distributed at a makeshift arrangement at the premises of Lions Eye Hospital. The meal comprised rice, pulses and mixed vegetable. Among others present during the distribution of food included Nilanjan Gupta, Sajal Mitra, Raju Choudhury and others.
