15 more new Japanese Encephalitis cases detected in Assam

Guwahati: The Health fraternity detected 15 fresh JE (Japanese Encephalitis) cases in the state on Friday. The vector-borne disease claimed one life today. The break-up of the 15 new JE cases is Baksa-2, Chirang-1, Dibrugarh-1, Goalpara-1, Golaghat-1, Nagaon-3, Jorhat-2, Charaideo-1, Sivasagar-1, Tinsukia-1 and Nalbari-1.

The cumulative JE cases reported this season (July onward) are 251. The cumulative JE toll this season (July onward) is 38.
