DIBRUGARH: Air India Express is broadening its global network by introducing two new destinations: the picturesque island of Phuket in Thailand and the bustling city of Dibrugarh in Assam.

The flight service will commence from January 31, 2025, where travelers can explore the charm of Phuket with direct flights from Hyderabad. The initial schedule will offer three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Meanwhile, from February 15, the frequency will rise to six flights per week, offering daily connectivity except on Tuesdays.

To mark the launch of this new route, Air India Express is offering special inaugural fares with exciting discounts, available for booking via their website, mobile app, and leading travel agencies.

Air India Express is also expanding its domestic network by adding Dibrugarh, a major industrial and cultural hub in Assam. Commencing from February 1, 2025, the airline will offer direct flights from Dibrugarh to Guwahati, with the same aircraft continuing to Delhi.

Commenting on these new additions, Aloke Singh, Managing Director of Air India Express, shared his excitement: “We are delighted to introduce Phuket and Dibrugarh to our expanding network. Phuket marks a key milestone in expanding our presence in Southeast Asia, while Dibrugarh underscores our dedication to improving connectivity across India, especially in the Northeast region.”

Singh further highlighted the airline's swift expansion, saying, “This winter marks a pivotal milestone for Air India Express, as our network expands to over 50 destinations. This accomplishment is driven by our rapidly growing fleet, which has surpassed 90 aircraft and is set to exceed 100 in early 2025.”

With the inclusion of Phuket, Air India Express will provide convenient one-stop flights to the island paradise from 16 cities within its network, including major Indian metros and key international hubs. Similarly, the Dibrugarh connection will offer seamless one-stop flights to five major Indian cities: Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Jaipur and Kolkata.
