DIBRUGARH: Dibrugarh will host the ex-servicemen's rally on January 5th, organised by the Indian Army's Eastern Command at the Polo Ground. As per the release, the event sought to underscore the enduring dedication to supporting the well-being of veterans, Veer Naris, and the families of those who served.

It emphasized the Army’s commitment to honoring their sacrifices and ensuring their welfare. The occasion was also designed to acknowledge the contributions of these individuals while providing resources and assistance to address their needs.

This year’s ex-servicemen rally centers around the theme, "You Served with Honour, We Honour Your Service," reflecting the core values of the Indian Army—honor, courage, sacrifice, and commitment to duty. The event holds special importance as it emphasizes the welfare and support of veterans who have selflessly dedicated their lives to safeguarding the nation’s security and sovereignty.

The rally will focus on addressing pension-related concerns, hosting a medical camp, and conducting interactive sessions with government and NGO representatives to discuss welfare schemes and job opportunities.

Prominent civil dignitaries and senior military officials will attend the event to honor veterans and Veer Naris, reaffirming the nation's appreciation for their selfless service and sacrifice. The Army has extended an open invitation to all ex-servicemen and their families to participate and contribute to the success of this meaningful occasion, the release stated.

Recently, the Indian Army successfully integrated advanced technology with exceptional teamwork to address the unique challenges of Sikkim’s rugged terrain and unforeseen emergencies.

As part of this initiative, the Army deployed the state-of-the-art ATOR N1200 Specialist Mobility Vehicle (SMV) to navigate Sikkim’s snow-covered mountains and challenging landscapes. Designed for extreme environments, the vehicle significantly enhanced troop mobility and operational efficiency in the region.
