GUWAHATI: As a part of the media tour organized by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), a team of 13 journalists from the state of Maharashtra arrived at the Gauhati Press Club (GPC), located in Ambari. The team, which had arrived with a three-day schedule, interacted with the office holders of the press club after they were welcomed with the traditional phulam gamochas. They spoke regarding the rich cultural heritage, politics, law and order, press freedom, and several other topics related to the state and beyond. The guests also visited the Kamakhya Temple and sought the Mother Goddess’s blessing. They will also be visiting various tourism destinations in the state.
