2-day state-wide Chaka bandh from March 28 across Assam

GUWAHATI: An umbrella organization of the State's commercial motor vehicle workers has called for a 48-hour chaka bandh across the State from March 28 in support of its demand for expeditious implementation of a welfare scheme for the benefit of its members, along with scrapping of imposition of excessive fines on vehicles, scrapping of anti-labour policies and grant of a financial relief package for losses suffered during the COVID-19 lockdown. This was disclosed by an office-beare of the umbrella organization.
