300 bags of tobacco recovered from Guwahati Railway Station

GUWAHATI: Around 300 bags of tobacco were recovered from the Guwahati Railway Station on May 30. The consignment arrived from Cooch Behar through parcel and was supposed to be delivered at Dibrugarh, Moriani and Tinsukia. Acting on tip-off, the Government Railway Police (GRP) seized the consignment. A case (45/2020) has been registered u/s 420/379/468/188 IPC and 51 (B) of DM act. The further investigation is on.
