9 robbers arrested in Jorabat by Assam Police

Guwahati: This operation was led by Basistha Officer-in-Charge Kapil Pathak last night, on July 23 at 13th Mile in Jorabat, who successfully led a joint collaborative team of officers from Jorabat police and Basistha police  to quickly apprehend the criminals without any mishap. 

The arrested individuals have been identified as Mofidul Ali, Ghaziya Rahman, Samir Ali, and Mominur Ali from Goalpara; Khairul Haque, Niranjan Rabha, and Manjur Ali from Boko; and Fazlul Haque and Mohor Ali from Chaygaon. They were caught with a truck with no registration plate and three separate number plates.

This recent success of Assam police has brought relief in the hearts of tragers and transportation workers whose work was hindered from fear of such dacoits roaming about.
