GUWAHATI: In light of the upcoming Jhumoir Binandini cultural programme and Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit, 2025, the Guwahati Traffic Police have announced extensive vehicle movement regulations to ensure public convenience and safety. The restrictions will be in effect on February 24, 25, and 26, with a focus on facilitating access for emergency services and vulnerable road users.Traffic Regulations for Sarusujai Sports Complex (Jhumoir Binandini)

Gold Pass Holders: Vehicles with Gold Passes must enter through Gate No. 1B (Main Entry Gate) and alight near the main roundabout. Parking will be available near the Indoor Stadium. Drop-Off Pass Holder: Vehicles must enter through Gate No. 1B, alight near the roundabout, and park at AEGCL Parking via Gate No. 4.

Essential Services (Green Pass Holders) Entry is permitted through Gate No. 1B. Other invitation holders may enter through Gate No. 1C (walking entry only). 5. Restricted Zone: The stretch from Koinadhara to Jalukbari will be a No Escort/Pilot Vehicle Zone. Traffic Regulations for Khanapara Veterinary Field (Advantage Assam 2.0) Saffron (Pentagon) Pass Holders: Entry via Gate No. 4 (National Science Centre), alighting inside the venue. Vehicles will park at the Regional Science Centre Campus.

Saffron (Triangle) & Gold Pass Holders: Entry through Gate No. 6 (APSC Office), parking behind the Veterinary College Field, and exit via Gate No. 9 (NH-27 Service Lane) after VVIP departure. Liaison Officers: Parking at Sericulture Field.

Silver, Bronze, Blue & Green Pass Holders: Entry at Gate No. 7 (APSC Road). Parking is designated at multiple locations, including GMC Khanapara, ISBT Khanapara, and Beltola Bihutoli Field, Basistha.

VIP Exit: Gate No. 10 (Opposite Koinadhara Hill) will open after VIP departure. Escort/Pilot Vehicles: Parking on the roadside from Jayanagar to Tripura Gali stretch. Restrictions on Goods-Carrying Vehicles.

Goods vehicles (4 wheels and above) are restricted on NH-27 and NH-17 within Guwahati from 7 AM to 11:30 PM. February 25 & 26: Goods vehicles (4 wheels and above) are restricted from 6 AM to 10 PM. Additional Restrictions: - Commercial goods vehicles (3 wheels and above) are prohibited on key city roads, including A.K. Azad Road, Dinesh Goswami Road, GS Road (Ulubari to Khanapara), and VIP Road, during event hours. On February 25 & 26, restrictions extend to Panjabari Road, Zoo Road, and Prison Gate to Beltola Tiniali Point from 6 AM to 10 PM. The Guwahati Traffic Police urge commuters to plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconvenience. These measures aim to ensure the smooth conduct of the events while prioritising public safety and emergency services access.
