All Guwahati Students' Union protests against potable water scarcity in City

GUWAHATI: The All Guwahati Students' Union (AGSU) staged a protest in the Guwahati Club area, demanding potable water for the citizens of the city.

The AGSU is the Guwahati unit of the All Assam Students' Union.

Around 100 workers demonstrated with banners and placards.

According to the students' body, the government has failed in every step of development because of which the people have to protest to get safe drinking water. State executive members of the union, Simanta Thakuria and Tapan Kalita said that the government is not able to provide safe and treated drinking water to the people from the Brahamaputra river.
