All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) to Observe Centenary Year

GUWAHATI: The All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC), established way back in 1920, gears up to celebrate its centenary with. Addressing a press conference held at Guwahati Press Club on Friday, AITUC: Assam State Committee said that on the occasion of completing 100 years AITUC is all set to observe the occasion on October 31 at Lakhiram Baruah Sadan.

AITUC: Assam State Committee general secretary Ramen Das said, “AITUC was formed with three main policy that raise voice for labors and their rights. As you all have witnessed that All India Trade Union Congress has been following the three main policies in every step to stand with the labors. We have been raising our voice against the anti-labor policy and we will stick to it till we meet a fruitful result. The government is trying to amend the labour act, as; it will become easier to hand over the ownership of profitable industries to private companies.”

Das said that besides the motive of celebrating AITUC’s Centenary, they will stand together against the Anti Labour Act and aim to reach an exploitation free society.
