Amid lockdown, many throng Hanuman Mandir at Galla Patty in Fancy Bazar

GUWAHATI: On the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti on Wednesday, a large number of people thronged the Hanuman Mandir at Galla Patty in Fancy Bazar. While the entire nation is maintaining social distancing and avoiding gatherings, the devotees ignored the preventive measures issued by the government. The gathering was eventually dispersed by the police. It is to be mentioned that the Kamrup (M) administration along the state government has urged all citizens to remain indoors and avoid social gatherings in order to arrest the spread of coronavirus.
