APYC chief Kamrul Islam Choudhury arrested on charges of vandalism during CAA protests

GUWAHATI: Guwahati Police has arrested Assam’s Pradesh Youth Congress president Kamrul Islam Choudhury on charges of alleged vandalism during the protests opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) which erupted across Guwahati in mid-December 2019. He has been booked under case no: 3800/2019 under section 120 (B/147/148/149/151/353/307/436/427 and read with section 3/4 of Public Property Damage Act).
