GUWAHATI: With the purpose to empower citizens to take moral responsibility of protecting future generations and to make it accessible for all citizens to file complain against child labour, child marriage, sexual abuse, the Assam State Commission for Protection of Child rights (ASCPR) is coming up with a mobile application.

The mobile app named Sishu Suraksha will be formally launched on November 14. Addressing a press conference at Guwahati Press Club on Tuesday ASCPR Chairperson Dr. Sunita Changkakati said that ASCPR has appealed Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal to launch the application and thus the app will be a gift for all the children from Sadiya to Dhubri.

Changkakati said, “We’ve witnessed that violation of Childs right is one of the prime issue in our society. The children are being harassed and their rights have been violated in different part of this region. There are many conscious citizens who want to rescue those children, but we can’t reach them due to lack of a proper way. This app will allow a prompt and easier way in case of reporting the cases of child rights violation as well as harassment over them.” The app to mention in one word is an e-complaint box that will run on android and iOS devices which will enable users from all over Assam to lodge a complaint about violation of Child rights.
