Assam: Alleged Molester Arrested in Guwahati City

Guwahati: A teenage girl was allegedly molested by a man near Downtown Sapta Swahid Road in Guwahati while she was returning home from tuition on December 31. Upon raising an alarm, the public gathered to assist her. The victim’s family subsequently filed an FIR at Dispur Police Station. A case (1381/2024) has been registered, and the police have arrested one suspect, identified as Biplob Gohain. Investigation is underway.
