GUWAHATI: Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Bhupen Kumar Borah sent a letter to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma requesting him to provide a suitable job to the unemployed widow of Mridul Islam, Hamida Parbin, in Kamrup district.”

APCC’s legal cell secretary, Mridul Islam, felt unwell during the recent “Raj Bhawan Chalo” agitation of the APCC and died in the hospital later.

In his letter to the Chief Minister, the APCC president said, “On compassionate grounds, I request you grant a suitable government job to Smt. Hamida Parbin in her home district of Kamrup as per her qualification. In terms of educational qualifications, she has successfully completed her Higher Secondary (Arts) exams.”
