Guwahati: The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) Division II directed all the centre in-charges of the Higher Secondary Final Examination 2025 to constitute a centre committee for the smooth conduct of the examinations. The board has already appointed all centres in charge of the examinations. The board directed the centre in charge to commence a meeting with the members of the governing body, managing and development committee, principal, and teachers of all constituent colleges, higher secondary schools, and senior secondary schools of all centres, local prominent citizens, and well-wishers to constitute a centre committee for every exam centre.
The presidents of the centre committee will be selected from the president of the governing body/managing committee of a college/HS school or a government gazetted officer or a person of eminence. The centre in charge of the examination centre will be the secretary of the centre committee. Other members of the committees will be all principals of the constituent colleges/HS schools, five leading influential persons and teachers, the officer in charge of the local police station, the postmaster of the local post office, the medical officer of the local dispensary/primary health centre, and one non-teaching staff member, preferably on a seniority basis.
The board said that after the first meeting, the Centre Committee will make the selection of Assistant Officer-in-charge for conducting the examination. One Assistant Centre-in-Charge is to be selected entirely for the confidential work. While selecting the Assistant Centre-in-Charge, the status, seniority, reliability, and efficiency of the teachers/demonstrators of HS School, having considerable seniority and academic qualities, should be considered for the appointment of the Assistant Centre-in-Charge.
The ASSEB further informed all centre in-charges that Rs 300 per candidate will be released to the respective examination centre as a centre fee before the commencement of the HS final examination 2025. Blind candidates/differently abled, if any, are exempted from paying the centre fee. The centre fee must also cover the expenses for the installation of CCTV and other examination expenses.
The HS final examination under the board will be from February 13 to March 17, 2025.
