Assam Assembly: Only 1 day is for questions

and answers

GUWAHATI: The February session of Assam Assembly will reserve only a single day for questions and answers (both oral & written) by MLAs and ministers. It will be the last session of the present Assembly.

The session will commence on February 11 and conclude on February 13. Being the first session in the calendar year (2021) the Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi will present his speech on the first day (February 11). So there will be no scope of questions and answers after the Governor's speech on the first day.

The Question Hour will be conducted only on February 12 (Friday).

Normally the Assembly session is not held on Saturdays. But the Assembly Secretariat has decided to conduct the February session on February 13 which will be Saturday. So, there will be no scope of question and answer on Saturday (February 13). During the session the government will table the Vote on Account budget. The date of tabling the budget has not yet been fixed.
