Assam Cabinet’s Mixed opinions on bus fare hike

GUWAHATI: The Assam Cabinet’s decision to hike bus fares by 25 per cent has been welcomed by the All Assam Motor Transport Association. The Association is of the view that with the surge in fuel prices, the increase in bus fare will greatly aid their cause. However, the public is of mixed opinions. While some are sympathetic and claimed that the hike was long due since the last hike was on 2012, others condemned the Government’s move.
