GUWAHATI: Ashmita Paul, a self-defence instructor from Guwahati and an active advocate of the “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” campaign, successfully completed a solo bike ride from Guwahati to Gangtok to mark the 10th anniversary of the initiative. Her inspiring journey is aimed to raise awareness about girls’ education, empowerment, and safety.

On Monday the Governor of Sikkim, Om Prakash Mathur, felicitated Ashmita at Raj Bhavan, Gangtok, applauding her determination and commitment to the noble cause. The Governor praised her efforts in promoting women’s empowerment and encouraged more youth to take up such initiatives for social change. Ashmita, known for her active participation in “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao”, expressed gratitude for the recognition and reiterated her mission to inspire young girls to dream big and stand strong.
