GUWAHATI: Reacting to the Congress’ act of gheraoing the Enforcement Directorate Office in protest against filing the charge sheet against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case, Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma asked the Congress leaders to ask Sonia Gandhi how she could make Rs 2,000 crore by investing Rs 50 lakh in the National Herald. “Is there any business formula to mint money at such a pace? Even Adani and Ambani cannot earn money at such a speed,” he said.

The case on National Herald is a money laundering case. In its additional charge sheet, the ED named Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Sam Pitroda, and others in alleged money laundering related to Associated Journals Ltd, which owns the National Herald newspaper.
