Assam: Finance department seeks data of pre-NPS employees

GUWAHATI: The Finance (Budget) Department of the Government of Assam has issued an official reminder to all special chief secretaries, additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries, commissioners & secretaries, and secretaries of various departments regarding the submission of specific employee data.

As per the letter issued by Dilip Kumar Borah, Secretary to the Government of Assam, the departments are required to provide detailed information of those employees who joined government service on or after February 1, 2005, but were recruited through processes initiated before the implementation of the National Pension System (NPS) on the same date.

This reminder urged departments to submit the required data by May 30, 2025, without fail. Departments must also certify the authenticity of the submitted information.
