Assam: FINER partnering with DoNER for the ‘Rising North East’ Summit 2025

GUWAHATI: The Federation of Industry & Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER) announced that FINER has been invited by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER), Government of India, to serve as a partner agency for the B2B (Business-to-Business) and B2G (Business-to-Government) interactions and thematic seminars at the upcoming “Rising North East” Summit, scheduled to be held on May 23 and 24, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The summit, led by the Union Minister for DoNER, Jyotiraditya Scindia, will be a landmark event and is expected to witness the participation of the chief ministers of all eight northeastern states, senior Union ministers, top officials, business leaders, national and international investors, and representatives of multilateral and foreign institutions.

The “Rising North East” summit is a visionary initiative designed to showcase the vast economic, industrial, and trade potential of North East India. With a focus on strengthening connectivity, unlocking sectoral growth, and promoting regional integration, the summit will feature 11 high-impact thematic sessions, sector-focused B2B and B2G meetings, and platforms for policy dialogue, collaboration, and investment matchmaking. Key sectors in focus include textiles, renewable energy, agriculture and food processing, IT and digital technologies, infrastructure, education and entrepreneurship, tourism, healthcare, logistics, entertainment, and international trade.

As a partner agency, FINER is playing a key role in facilitating meaningful engagement between businesses, investors, and government stakeholders. FINER will be actively coordinating in thematic sessions and high-level interactions, ensuring productive outcomes for all stakeholders involved. This collaboration is in line with FINER’s commitment to act as a catalyst for economic development in the North Eastern Region and connect local enterprises with national and global opportunities, a press release said.
