Guwahati: Two judicial officers and two senior advocates were sworn in as Additional Judges of the Gauhati High Court on Wednesday. The oath of office and secrecy was administered by Chief Justice Ashutosh Kumar in a solemn ceremony held at the High Court premises.
The newly inducted judges are Judicial Officers Pranjal Das and Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, along with senior advocates Anjan Moni Kalita and Rajesh Mazumdar. Their appointments have been made for a tenure of two years.
Following their swearing-in, the Chief Justice has stationed the four Additional Judges across different benches of the Gauhati High Court with effect from July 30, 2025, until further orders. As per the official notification, Justice Anjan Moni Kalita has been posted to the Itanagar Permanent Bench. Justice Rajesh Mazumdar will serve at the Kohima Bench. Justice Pranjal Das has been assigned to the Principal Seat at Guwahati and Justice Sanjeev Kumar Sharma has been stationed at the Aizawl Bench.
