 GUWAHATI: On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria visited the ISKCON temple and paid obeisance to Lord Krishna for the welfare of all sections of the people. Kataria said that Sri Krishna is omnipresent, and therefore the celebrations of Krishna Janmashtami take place around the globe. He said that the teachings of Lord Krishna are very powerful, and they have been guiding mankind through thick and thin.

He also said that Janmashtami inspires good deeds and is celebrated as a day of happiness, joy, friendship, and camaraderie. It symbolises the triumph of good over evil, and one should follow Lord Krishna’s teachings to live a happy and prosperous life. The governor also said that one should strive to follow Lord Krishna’s path and become better individuals, better members of society, and better citizens of the world. One should also remain grateful for the blessings given to humanity. He also visited the Radha Govinda Dev temple, stated a press release.
