
Guwahati: Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya has extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the state, especially the Muslim community, on the auspicious occasion of Eid-al-Adha.
In his message, the Governor said, “I extend my heartiest greetings and warm wishes to the Muslim brothers and sisters of the state on the occasion of Eid-al-Adha. I appeal to everyone to regenerate the spirit of sacrifice for one another and work collectively to strengthen the bonds of humanity.”
Underscoring the importance of observing the festival in its true spirit, the Governor urged people to celebrate the occasion by fostering harmony, trust, and friendship among all. Acharya further noted, “The celebration of Eid-al-Adha teaches us the values of selflessness and devotion. As we come together to celebrate this festival let us extend our hands to help the underprivileged and enable them feel the essence of the festival by extending charity,” stated a press release.
