Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi greets people on Good Friday

GUWAHATI: Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi greeted the people of the state, particularly those belonging to the Christian community on the auspicious occasion of Good Friday.

In a message, Prof. Mukhi said, “Good Friday reminds us the supreme and selfless sacrifice of Lord Jesus Christ who laid down his life for saving the humanity from vicious influence of sins. On this occasion of Good Friday, let us all reminisce the supreme sacrifice of Jesus Christ and follow his teachings to lead us from sinful path to virtuous path, from ignorance to wisdom, from injustice to justice and from darkness to light. On this occasion let us all pray to Lord Jesus to guide us to righteous path and lead a life of knowledge to negotiate with all the shortcomings of the present day society,” a press release said.
