Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi greets people on Guru Nanak Jayanti

GUWAHATI: Assam Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi has conveyed his greetings and best wishes to the people of Assam, especially the Sikh brethren on the eve of Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti.

In a message to the people of the Nation and Assam in particular, the Governor said, "Guru Nanak Dev Ji was an embodiment of wisdom, peace, unity and universal brotherhood who worked for enlightenment of humanity." He also appealed to all to emulate the teachings of Guru Nanak ji and spread the message of love and universal brotherhood and make this state an ideal place for people belonging to all caste, creed and faiths. He urged all to observe the day adhering to the COVID-19 safety protocols and pray for the betterment of humanity, a press release said.
