Assam Govt Extends Tenures of Top Prosecution Officers Under Service Order Clause 15(3)

GUWAHATI: The Assam government has extended the services of Makhan Phukan as Director of Prosecution, Assam, and Dhanesh Das, Shantanu Bhattacharyya, and Manash Haloi as Deputy Directors of Prosecution for four months each temporarily, with effect from July 24, 2025. The extension of service of these four is following orders (15(3) of the Assam Directorate of Prosecution Establishment Officers’ Service orders issued in 2022.
