Rangia: Better connectivity is a prerequisite for the development of any state or region. Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, the present state government has achieved remarkable success in establishing an efficient communication network, significantly accelerating Assam’s development. The advancements in connectivity are paving the way for Assam to emerge as one of the most advanced states in the country. Environment and Forest Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary said this during the open session of the Kamrup District Day celebrations on Monday.
“It is a privilege for Kamrup that Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, who has set a new trend of development, is also an MLA from this district,” Minister Patowary remarked while attending the open session as the Chief Guest at the Amingaon Railway Field in Kamrup. He urged everyone to work together for the overall growth of Kamrup and the state.
Before the open session, Minister Patowary inaugurated a health camp at the Amingaon Railway Ground, organized as part of the district day celebrations. Eminent writer Mayur Bora delivered the keynote speech on the heritage and potential of Kamrup district. District Commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra delivered the welcome address, outlining the district’s geographical and socio-economic significance in both the state and national context.
