GUWAHATI: A meeting of the Aadhaar Monitoring Committee was held on Tuesday at the District Commissioner’s office in Kamrup Metropolitan district, chaired by Additional District Commissioner Casio Karan Pegu. The meeting emphasized the importance of linking mobile numbers with Aadhaar cards for school students. To facilitate this, it was decided to organize Aadhaar registration camps in schools. Parents are required to take their children to the nearest Aadhaar registration centre for biometric updating at the ages of 5 and 15.

The meeting also featured a PowerPoint presentation on various aspects of Aadhaar registration. Attendees included Uday Shankar Medhi, Joint Health Director; District Labour Officer, along with other dignitaries.
