Assam Minority Development Board distributes food to the needy people in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The Assam Minority Development Board (ASDM), on Monday, announced that it will provide food to the needy people in Guwahati from Tuesday onwards. Assam Minority Development Board will be assisted by Uddipan and Janagosti Samanya Parishad, Assam. The nationwide lockdown has disproportionately hurt marginalized communities due to loss of livelihood and lack of food, shelter, health, and other basic needs. While, the closing of state border has also led to the fear of food shortages, thousands of people on the streets are in need of protection.
