Assam: Murder Accused Surrenders at Mukalmua Outpost in Nalbari

Guwahati: The accused in the brutal murder of a woman in Guwahati's Bamunimaidam area has surrendered at the Mukalmua Outpost in Nalbari district on Monday. He was later handed over to Guwahati Police for further investigation.

The victim and the accused both originally hail from Fakirganj.

A horrifying incident came to light on Sunday night in the B G Yard area of Bamunimaidam, where a woman was killed in front of her daughter by her own brother-in-law following a disagreement over a forced marriage proposal.

Police are continuing their investigation to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
