Assam: Mystery around kidnapping of young girl

GUWAHATI: There has been some mystery regarding a teenager who went missing recently. While the father had filed a missing report in Guwahati, the girl was allegedly abducted in Meerut. In the most recent twist to the tale of the kidnapping of a 14-year-old girl, it came to light that the girl was allegedly abducted by two armed miscreants from Meerut city in Uttar Pradesh. Police sources also informed that the victim's location was traced near Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh.

The girls had gone missing on Monday morning, and the father had registered a missing complaint at the Basistha Police Station regarding the incident. He had mentioned that the girl had gone missing from their rented accommodation in the city. The victim had also reportedly turned her mobile phone off.

However, it remains highly mysterious how the girl reported missing in Guwahati was abducted from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh. Although no official statement has been made regarding the incident, a team from the Assam police headed to the location to recover the child.
