Guwahati: Samagra Shiksha Assam, (SSA) has issued a directive mandating all Assistant Teachers (contractual) to apply for leave exclusively through the ‘Shiksha Setu’ portal starting August 1, 2025.
The official notification, addressed to all District Mission Coordinators, (SSA) states that despite the availability of an online leave application system, many teachers have continued submitting leave applications in physical form. This has prompted the department to strictly enforce the use of the online portal.
The directive clearly mentions that no physical leave applications will be entertained from August 1 onwards. All District Mission Coordinators have been instructed to ensure that the message is conveyed to every contractual Assistant Teacher under their jurisdiction. They must also forward leave requests only via the online system and not in paper form.
