GUWAHATI: The All Assam Pharmacists’ Service Association (AAPSA) has moved the Secretary to the Department of Health and Family Welfare under the Union Ministry of Health and Family and the under-secretary to the Government of India (Haj), requesting them to keep the upper age limit of medical deputation for pharmacists for the Haj medical mission, 2025.
In its letter, AAPSA general secretary Sudhir Chandra Saha said, “We request you that there should not be any age limit during the service period of the Health and Family Welfare Department for Assam’s applicants for Haj Deputation. During the last five years, there was no age limit for applicants of in-service pharmacists under the Health and Family Welfare Department, Assam, for Haj deputation. We request you kindly keep the maximum age limit for Haj deputation at 55 years. None of the pharmacists/paramedics under 45 years of age has done duty in the Haj medical mission before, especially from Assam.”
The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that the age limit of doctors and paramedics applying for deputation for the Haj-2025 mission should be 25-55 years for doctors and 25-45 years for paramedics. The last date for online applications to be submitted to the portal of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is February 7, 2025.
