Assam: Phase III of Gunotsav Begins Today in State

GUWAHATI: The third phase of Gunotsav-2025 will begin on February 4 and conclude on February 7 in ten districts of the state.

The ten districts are Biswanath, Bongaigaon, Cachar, Darrang, Dibrugarh, Dima Hasao, Goalpara, Majuli, Morigaon, and Nalbari. The evaluation process will comprise a self-assessment on February 4, followed by an external evaluation from February 5-7. This phase will cover 12,375 schools—government and provincialised schools, Adarsha Vidyalayas, Tea Garden Model schools, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Avasiya Vidyalayas, and Tea Garden Management schools.

This phase will assess 11,38,275 students from classes I to IX. A total of 4,967 external evaluators will participate in this phase of evaluation.

Gunotsav phase I took place from January 6-9 in 11 districts, and phase II took place from January 17-22 in 14 districts.
