Assam Police arrested man with drugs from Jalukbari area

GUWAHATI: The Crime Branch of the City Police arrested a person named Mintu Ali with drugs concealed in five containers from the Jalukbari area here on Thursday.

Guwahati has long been a hub of drugs, besides being a transit for their transportation to the rest of India from other States of the Northeast. GRP and RFP personnel seizing drugs from trains in Guwahati Railway station is very common.
