Assam Police condoles death of former IGP Amrendra Rajkumar

GUWAHATI: The Director General of Police, Assam along with officers and all ranks of Assam Police as well as Ministerial staff deeply condoled the demise of former Inspector General of Police, Assam, Amrendra Rajkumar, who breathed his last at a private hospital in Guwahati on March 7.

He was 71 years old. His body was taken to Assam Police Headquarters, Ulubari on Monday and DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta along with other senior police officials and staff paid homage to the departed police officer.

Amrendra Rajkumar, an Assam-Meghalaya Cadre served the nation with dedication and sincerity during his service.

The Director General of Police, Assam and all members of the Assam Police conveyed their heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family and prayed to the almighty for eternal peace of the departed soul.
