Assam Police dismisses report on shortage of salt in State

GUWAHATI: The Assam Police, on Friday, alerted the citizens of the State about fake news on the shortage of salt in Assam. Through their social medial channels the department clarified that there is no shortage of salt in the state.

“Some mischievous elements are trying to spread rumours about the – ‘Shortage of Salt’ in Assam. This is fake, untrue and baseless. There is no shortage of salt,” stated Assam Police in a social media post.

“More than enough stocks of all essentials, including Salt are available. Citizens are requested not to pay any heed to rumours,” it added.
