Assam Police Homeguard arrested for assaulting wife

GUWAHATI: Rekibuddin Ahmed, a home guard of the Assam police, who has been posted at BSNL, Guwahati was arrested by Dispur police on Saturday allegedly for assaulting his wife. Notably, the accused physically assaulted his wife at her workplace at the State Secretariat. Meanwhile, a case (No 3477/18 u/s 498/307 IPC) has been registered.
