Assam Police Warns Social Media Offenders; 104 Arrested for Anti-National Posts

Guwahati: Assam Police has issued a stern warning to individuals posting anti-national or offensive comments on social media with the intent to create unrest, stressing that anonymity behind fake IDs or names will not shield them from the law. Authorities said they are constantly monitoring online activities and are “always one step ahead” of those attempting to stoke instability. So far, 104 individuals have been arrested in connection with such offences, and police have made it clear that the crackdown will continue.
