Assam Pradesh Congress Committee recalls Lachit Borpukhan

GUWAHATI: The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) observed the 401st birth anniversary of Lachit Borpukhan at Rajiv Bhawan. APCC members gave floral tributes to the portrait of Bir Lachit.

APCC general secretary (organization) Bipul Gogoi, in his speech, briefed the life history of Lachit Borphukan, who defeated the Mughals despite being down with fever.

The programme was attended by the APCC working president Rana Goswami, President Mahila Morcha Mira Borthakur Goswami, former MP Bolin Kuli, and others.
