Assam: Renowned Singer Sumi Kalita Honoured for Musical Achievements

PALASBARI: Renowned singer Sumi Kalita was felicitated on Tuesday by BJP State Executive Member Anup Kumar Medhi at her residence in Palasbari for her remarkable achievements in music and her contributions to community development.

 Sumi recently earned multiple accolades in the Sanskritik Mahasangram, a prestigious cultural event organized by the Cultural Affairs Department of the Government of Assam. In addition, she secured the second runner-up position in Sambhawana, a musical reality show broadcast by Doordarshan Guwahati.

  Apart from her accomplishments in music, Kalita is also making a significant impact through her work under the Magic Bus India Foundation (MBIF), where she is actively involved in initiatives aimed at empowering youth and underprivileged communities.

 Her dedication to both the arts and social service has brought pride to the people of Palasbari and serves as an inspiration to the community.
