Guwahati: Acting on a tip-off, the Special Task Force (STF) conducted raids at 14 Mile and Tamulikuchi under the jurisdiction of Basistha Police Station on Thursday afternoon. Two drug peddlers were apprehended, and a significant quantity of contraband and other items was seized. The recovered items include 21 vials containing suspected heroin weighing 27.73 grams, 14 stolen mobile phones, cash amounting to Rs 22,775, a mobile phone, 10 empty vials, and 21 syringes.

The two apprehended individuals have been identified as Blestar Sylliang, alias Dang (26), a resident of Upper Amjok, Byrnihat, and Shahid Marbaniang, alias Pai (25), residing at 14 Mile Tamulikuchi, Jorabat. Legal action has been initiated against them.
