Assam State Commission for Women member roots for artisans

 GUWAHATI: Nang Lucky Gogoi, a dedicated member of the Assam State Commission for Women, is taking proactive steps to empower artisans, craftsmen, and street vendors by educating them about the key features and guidelines of the PM Vishwakarma scheme, said a press release. This Central sector PM Vishwakarma scheme was launched on September 17, 2023, by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. It aims to provide comprehensive support to artisans and craftspeople that rely on their skills and tools for livelihood.

Nang Lucky Gogoi, while recognizing the potential of the PM Vishwakarma scheme, is dedicatedly visiting craftsmen and street vendors and encouraging them to leverage the benefits offered by this initiative. Her commitment extends to ensuring that no deserving woman artisan is left without assistance.
