GUWAHATI: Fifty percent of the total municipal board wards of the State will be reserved for women in the ensuing civic body elections to be held on March 6. This was disclosed by the Assam State Election Commission.

It may be mentioned that elections will be held in 80 municipal boards, comprising 977 wards.

Tomorrow is the last date for filing of nominations. Counting will be held on March 9.
