
GUWAHATI: NF Railway Promotee Officers’ Association (NFRPOA) conducted the Biennial General Meeting on June 1, 2019 at Rang Bhawan, Maligaon. Various cadre issues related to Promotee Officers of Indian Railways were discussed in the meeting.
As per a press release, in the meeting it was stressed by NFRPOA about the need for timely conduction of DPC (Departmental Promotion Committee) for induction by the Ministry of Railways, which has been pending for 4 yearly batches. It was also discussed that Railway Board should take cognizance of the various difficulties faced by Promotee Officers regarding promotional avenues and service benefits vis a vis to direct officers of Indian Railways, in spite of both sharing equal responsibilities. These kind of biased views of policy makers are adversely affecting the working and growth of Indian Railways.
During the discussion, along with other officers, SS Das Deputy Chief Engineer Construction, Rangia & President of Rangiya Divisional Promotee Officers Association, has raised the issue regarding stagnation of promotion of officers in miscellaneous cadre, like Public Relations Officers, Law Officers and other services. A new Executive Committee of NFRPOA was formed and Chandamoy Bhattacharjee Assistant Signal and Telecommunication Engineer, Construction & L Nena Singha, Assistant Executive cu Engineer, Construction were elected as new President and General Secretary respectively in addition to other executive members.
